I am so honored to work with you and your family!
My style of therapy is encouraging, supportive, and compassionate. I appreciate clients who are honest with me and seek a therapist who is “real,” “down to earth,” playful, and empathetic.
I am transparent and like to provide a lot of psychoeducation so you and your child can understand the body/mind connection.

I love open communication throughout treatment and am never here to judge. I’m here to work alongside you and your family. Always. I’m glad you’re here.
    I see you.
    I hear you.

Come on in, and let’s play!

What Led Me To Become A Therapist

In my “former life,” I worked in higher education at a state university and a state college. As an academic advisor, program coordinator, outreach advisor, professor, and degree specialist, I developed a deep connection with my students. I found that I was more interested in helping them in their personal lives than their academic (though I firmly believe that if your personal life is disorganized, your academic life will also suffer). During that time, I discussed my dream to a coworker with a social work background. Through this discussion, she opened my eyes to find ways to achieve my passion for caring and teaching personal growth. From that moment, I returned to school (yes, you read that right) to earn my Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Central Florida.

Throughout my program and internship, I fell in love with therapy, healing, creative healing, and the mind/body connection. Through my program’s internship and licensure requirements, I worked primarily with families across Palm Beach County, FL, in socioeconomically disadvantaged areas. I have experience working with a diverse population and respect other cultures, ethnicities, and religions. I have a personal connection to therapy and have witnessed firsthand the healing powers of play (for both children and adults).

What I want for you during our sessions

When I am with clients, their safety and support are my number one concern. All clients are treated and spoken to with respect and dignity. We can play, talk, create, or sit in silence together, whatever is needed to help and encourage growth. Should you have any questions that come up either during our session or as a result of a session with your child/adolescent, please feel free to reach out, and I am happy to connect. I value a relationship approach to working with my clients and their families. We are all on the same team. Let’s work together!
