Claudia Sanchez, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Bilingual)

Working with both adults and children is my area of expertise. I work with individuals to assist them in gaining clarity and separating ambiguity from their lives so they can become self-aware and self-reliant.
I am strongly committed to helping kids find their voice and heal while learning effective ways to express their needs and developing self-advocacy skills. I integrate experiential modalities such as client-centered, solution-focused, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and conventional talk therapy.
Services are offered in English and Spanish.
What Led Me To Become A Therapist
I work as a counselor because I want to assist people who are having difficulty understanding or coping with mental health issues.
I have experienced first hand, the benefits of finding someone who can create a safe environment to breathe, just be, experience unconditional acceptance and to create better visions for myself.
I like knowing I can use empathy and compassion to help clients in their difficult situations. I believe I have many valuable skills that will help me succeed as a clinican, and I’m excited to continue assisting others in becoming their best selves.
What I want for you during our sessions
I offer a secure and welcoming environment to work cooperatively with each client. The philosophy behind client-centered therapy is that the client controls their counseling process. They will discover the limits of what is in their lives they can control, and what they cannot. Clients will be aware that the therapeutic alliance is a partnership and that they must put forth effort on their assigned readings, take responsibility for their behavior, and be present
during therapy sessions. As a counselor, it is my mission to create a secure space where we may discuss your main areas of interest, create goals, and identify your skills and assets as you work toward your objectives.
My Professional Background
I received my Master’s in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. I am currentky completing the training for Certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional as well as a candidate for my Registered Play Therapist credential.
