    Gabriel L Tito, LMFT

Hello, I’m Gabriel L. Tito, I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Bachelor’s in Clinical Psychology, and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’m also a certified family mediator and a parenting coordinator. I have been providing therapeutic services for the past seventeen years to individual children presenting anxiety, depression, family issues, attention deficit, or hyperactivity, through play and sand-tray work. I work from a collaborative stance with adolescents and adults who are looking to create change in their lives. I also work with couples and families. I provide services in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

I’m also a percussionist and I integrate drums as a tool to work on family communication, being a leader, following directions, teamwork, and releasing stress to provide relaxation and a feeling of wellbeing.

What led me to be a psychotherapist

Psychotherapy helped me during my transition from my birthplace in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to New Jersey, during my teen age years, right after undergoing a series of serious surgeries with long recovery times during my pre-teen years. That positive experience helped shape my values and perceptions. Having the opportunity and super-powers to help others has been my drive throughout my career.

What to expect during our session

You can expect a non-judgmental, supportive, and safe environment, where you can express your thoughts and feelings. Expect my undivided attention, and my ability to work from a strength-based model, focusing on what works.

    My Professional background

I have a Bachelor’s in clinical-Psychology, a master in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and over seventeen years of experience providing therapeutic services for children and families. I was very privileged to be one of only a few who had a chance to be trained with Salvador Minuchin, the father of Structural Family Therapy, during six months at his home, and have attended numerous conferences and trainings in the field.
