Christian De Antonio, LMHC (Provisional) Psychotherapist | Trauma-Informed | Creative & Expressive Therapy Bilingual: Spanish
I am a psychotherapist in the state of Florida with eight years of experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from teenagers and young adults to older adults. My clinical specialty is trauma, and my work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe healing happens not only through insight and skill-building, but also through creative expression, connection, and meaning-making.
Therapy with me is a collaborative and experiential process. I bring a creative and expressive lens into the work, helping clients explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns in ways that go beyond words when helpful. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused approaches, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and expressive techniques, tailoring therapy to each person’s unique needs and strengths. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace.
I am fluent in English and Spanish and welcome clients from diverse cultural, personal, and relational backgrounds.
My path to becoming a therapist emerged from an innate way of relating to people. I have always been deeply interested in human behavior, emotional worlds, and the stories we carry. Over time, this natural curiosity became a calling to support others through healing, self-discovery, and transformation. I view therapy as both a science and an art, where structure and creativity work together to foster meaningful and lasting change.
In our work together, my intention is not to create dependence on therapy, but to help you develop self-trust, autonomy, and clarity. I want you to gain tools that feel authentic to you, so you can navigate life with greater confidence, resilience, and self-compassion, while always knowing that support is available whenever you need it.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in philosophy, and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from St. Thomas University. I am committed to lifelong learning and regularly engage in continuing education to deepen my clinical work. In addition to my psychotherapy training, I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT-500) and have formal training in theater and film acting. These experiences inform my therapeutic style by integrating body awareness, presence, creativity, and emotional expression into the healing process.
I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken, but about reconnecting with what is already alive within you. Therapy is a space to explore, create, and grow toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and aligned. I would be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
