    Sarina Adoni, MSW

Hello I am Sarina, I am currently working towards my license as a Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, emotion regulation challenges, self growth as well as grief or loss. As a Polyvagal-informed therapist, it is my goal to help you connect with your body and create safety with physical symptoms of emotional experiences. I use a multitude of approaches including meditation, grounding techniques, mindfulness, breathwork along with traditional talk therapy.

What Led Me To Becoming A Therapist

During my undergraduate years, I studied abroad in Costa Rica for 3 weeks and had the privilege of supporting local communities. From supporting battered women working toward independence, to connecting with men recovering from addiction, and cleaning up the local schools to prepare the property for students, I knew I wanted to help my community back in the US! This experience as a whole inspired me to connect with my local community and serve as a support system on small scales as well. Over the past year, I have deeply connected with community members and learned about the benefits of holistic health care including yoga, grounding, community, meditation, somatic work, mindfulness based practices, and so much more. Often, our minds create a disconnect from our bodies and dysregulation is just around the corner. When we can not only learn about after care practices, but also preventative measures, we can truly be in control of how our external environment impacts our internal systems. Through personal discovery of the impact of this work, I hope to provide the same level of inspiration and support to you!

What I want for you during our sessions

I am dedicated to creating a safe space to feel into your body to clearly explore the mind. Through a nonjudgemental and strengths-based lens, here, you are welcomed to process, express, and explore any and all experiences that are keeping you from being your best self. Our sessions will gently allow you the space to simply show up as you!

    My education

I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in executive education from Lynn University. I hold a masters degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. I am constantly looking to expand my education not only through organized institutions, but through community engagement and other training centers as well. I completed an 8-week training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and have used this approach to support my clients and to better create a more mindful life myself.
