Tiffany Perez, RMHCI (Bilingual – English & Spanish)
Hi, my name is Tiffany Perez, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. I work with children, teens, adults, couples and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of trauma. I support clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and others, and who are seeking meaningful change.
My goal is to help you better understand your emotional experiences, develop healthier coping skills, and move toward a more grounded and fulfilling life. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental safe space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with curiosity and compassion. My approach integrates evidence based interventions with a person centered, collaborative style tailored to each client’s unique needs.
What Led Me to Becoming a Therapist
My path to becoming a therapist began through my work as a behavioral health case manager, a role I held for ten years. During this time, I served youth and families with diverse and complex needs, advocating for support, stability, and access to care. Working closely alongside therapists throughout those years sparked my interest in deepening my role in supporting the mental health needs of my community.
Through this work, I witnessed firsthand the impact that compassionate, consistent mental health support can have on individuals and families. I became increasingly drawn to the therapeutic process and the opportunity to not only support clients through systems of care, but to sit with them, understand their experiences, and help facilitate meaningful change.
In addition to my professional experience, I have also experienced trauma and loss in my own life. These experiences have shaped my perspective and allow me to approach my work with deep empathy, authenticity, and respect for resilience. I believe that healing is possible, and it is a privilege to walk alongside others as they navigate their own paths toward growth and restoration.
My Education
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I am currently practicing as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern under supervision in the state of Florida.
I am committed to ongoing professional growth and continually expanding my clinical knowledge through supervision, training, and continued education. My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence based and trauma informed practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment based work, and mindfulness based interventions. These approaches allow me to support clients in developing insight, emotional regulation, and healthier patterns in both individual and relational contexts.
I value providing thoughtful, ethical, and compassionate care, and I remain intentional about evolving my skills to best serve individuals, families, and couples.
What I Want for You During Our Sessions
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for individuals, families, and couples to feel heard, understood, and respected. Whether we are working together individually or as a family or couple, my goal is to foster collaboration, openness, and trust throughout the therapeutic process.
In our sessions, we will focus on increasing awareness, strengthening communication, and developing practical tools to navigate challenges more effectively. For children and teens, this may include building emotional insight, coping skills, and confidence. For families and couples, our work may involve improving communication, understanding relational patterns, and fostering healthier connections.
I aim to meet each client or system where they are, honoring their unique experiences, values, and goals. Together, we will work toward clarity, growth, and meaningful change, empowering you to move forward with greater resilience and intention.
“You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Resilience can flourish, and I would be honored to walk alongside you with empathy and understanding as you embark on your journey of healing and growth.”
