About
Hello! And thank you for allowing me to introduce myself and the therapeutic work that we do with children, teens, adults and families at Reflections Creative Therapies Group.
I honor you for taking the first step into achieving an authentic life for yourself and your loved ones. We are passionate about you and your family having a life of validity and expression. “Healing is in the Process” and congratulations for beginning you journey!
My name is Patrice Migliori-Farnes.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Registered Play Therapist (R-PT-S) and a licensed psychotherapist since 2009. I am originally trained in the Creative Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre and a Master of Social Work in Psychotherapy.
I successfully ran my own private practice, Reflections Creative Therapies in Delray Beach, Florida since 2012 and last year in 2019 expanded to a Group Practice and relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida. I have personally handpicked the clinicians that practice on my team at Reflections Creative Therapies Group.
Please visit the Group Therapists page for introductions. They are professional, passionate and awesome!
What makes our practice unique is that we all specialize in using the expressive arts to facilitate therapeutic healing and deeper understanding of individuals and their families. There is a distinct relationship between the creative arts therapies and the brain. How the brain processes trauma and the possibility of repair through the use of the expressive therapies.
Our most utilized therapies include: Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy (painting, collage, dancing, writing, movement, music, etc.), Psychodrama Therapy (dramatic play) as well as< EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for children as well as adults. For a thorough explanation of each technique please visit the “Therapies” section.
We offer Individual, family and group therapy and design treatment to your needs and our diagnostic assessment. Please visit our Group and Workshops page for more information about our groups for children and adults.
I have facilitated special artist presentations and group work using theatrical interventions to assist children with conflict resolution, self-esteem, and assertive, nonviolent communication. I have also designed a creative arts healing group for children who are victims of domestic violence, as well as provided individual and family therapy. For over 10 years I worked in NYC, alongside Judith Gerberg (MA, LMHC) an art therapy field pioneer and career/ life specialist at Gerberg & Co.
My internships Specialized in Individual & family therapy, utilizing the creative expressive work to treat children in foster care and help individuals participating in alcohol and drug treatment centers.
Today, married for over 20 yrs. I enjoy raising two very busy and athletic boys. We play and live in the local area.
