Abigail Martin, RMHCI
Hi, I’m Abby. I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern dedicated to helping children, teens, adults, and families find hope and healing from within. I work with clients who feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck, and who may be longing for something deeper than just symptom relief. Many of my clients have tried traditional talk therapy and found it helpful—but incomplete. My approach focuses not only on reducing symptoms, but on fostering genuine growth, insight, and lasting transformation. With warmth and compassion, I create a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. I work with individuals ages 4 and up, offering both individual and family therapy to support healing and stronger connection. Difficult experiences—whether from the past or present—can feel heavy, but you don’t have to carry them alone. I am here to help you process, heal, and build the tools to navigate life with greater ease and confidence.
What Led Me to Becoming a Therapist
I have always been curious about why we think, feel, and behave the way we do. When I was 12 years old, I witnessed my aunt experience a major depressive episode. She had always been vibrant and full of joy, so watching her struggle left a lasting impression on me. In that moment, I felt a deep desire to help people who are hurting find their way back to themselves. In college, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which strengthened my passion for becoming a therapist. After taking some time off before graduate school, I began my own therapy journey. Working with a therapist who helped me heal in ways I never thought possible reignited my commitment to this work. Experiencing the power of therapy firsthand confirmed what I already believed—true healing is possible, and no one should have to walk that path alone. My hope is to offer you the same steady support that once helped me.

I want you to feel comfortable being fully yourself in our sessions—honest, vulnerable, and real.Through collaboration and evidence-based techniques, we will work toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I believe meaningful change happens within a safe, authentic relationship. My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you gain clarity, strengthen self-understanding, and feel empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.
