What Led Me to Becoming a Therapist

Growing up, I experienced alcoholism in my family of origin and witnessed intimate partner violence. These early challenges began my personal healing journey and inspired me to dedicate my life to helping others heal and empower themselves.

My own experiences, combined with years of education and training, have fueled my commitment to be the change I want to see in the world. They also deepened my passion for guiding individuals to transform anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, grief, and addiction—and to reconnect with their true nature of self.

What You Can Expect From Our Sessions

My therapeutic style is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and neutrality. Every session is tailored to your unique needs, blending evidence-based approaches such as:

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
    • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
    • Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
    • Family Constellations
    • Brainspotting
    • Generative Trance

Together, we will use grounding, centering, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you stay present, reduce stress, and build lasting resilience. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where challenges can become opportunities for growth, healing, and empowerment.

    Professional Background

I have nearly three decades of experience working in private practice and residential treatment settings. At the Hanley Center in West Palm Beach, I provided individual, group, and family therapy for clients struggling with addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, and complex mental health challenges.

I also have extensive experience in dual-diagnosis treatment, crisis intervention, and guiding individuals and families through difficult transitions. Alongside my clinical work, I hold advanced certifications in Brainspotting, Generative Trance, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), as well as training in Family Constellations and systemic therapy approaches.

    Volunteer Work

Beyond my professional practice, I have always had a passion for volunteer service. I spent several years caring for injured and orphaned wildlife—first at the Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center in Pennsylvania, and later at McCarthy’s Wildlife Center in West Palm Beach.

From feeding baby birds and squirrels to caring for exotic animals such as lemurs, tortoises, and even big cats, these experiences deepened my appreciation for patience, compassion, and the healing connections that exist across all living beings.
